#9 is a straight as an arrow par 3 and the only tree on the right is nowhere near in the way of the green. You might be thinking of another hole.

Not always. Years ago, #9 was a slight dog leg right. To drive the green you had to hit it over the huge oak tree in the turn on the right, just as the OP has described. Most of the holes on the bottom half of the course (#5,6 and 9 as I recall) were redesigned and redone to the state they are now. That would hav been done maybe 15 to 20 years ago.

Fair, but doesn't answer the question.

Because it is an Amendment to the state constitution. Hence Vote no on Amendment #2!

The reason why it's a constitution issue is because you are creating a new district in the state which affects funding for all the other districts.

Vote no on every tax. It is all a shell game.

We should limit all tax proposals to 1 time in the year - on the first Tuesday of November.

They wear us out by sneaking these chicken sheet taxes in these constant low voter schemes.

I never vote for brec taxes,, nobody knows what they're doing there, fix the golf course, I grew up here and have played golf since I was 7 yrs old,

I never liked the golf course, was a goat ranch then and still is now, the only real attraction was the swimming pool

Brec is a Joke

Why was this not in the ballot 2 weeks ago?
Why do we have so many elections?
Do em all once a year, stop the strategic placement of putting taxes etc on ballots with nothing else going on just so they will pass

I think you are wrong. Number 8 is a blind par three uphill along the side of the railroad tracks. Number 9 has that big tree and the old swimming pool on the right and it’s a par 4

That is the old and likely original layout. #9 is a short par 3 and has been for years. #8 is still a par 3 that is “less of a blind” shot than it used to be.

#9 was changed when BREC “changed” the golf course drastically 10 or more years ago.

I did not know that. It has been a long time since I’ve played there. It sucks but I had to quit playing after I had neck surgery. I used to play two to three times per week and got my handicap down to 4

I hope you can swing them again soon! City Park is a great place to rehab a game! Best of luck.

BREC doesn’t want their books opened to the public.

I wish I could but I will never be able to play again unfortunately. My body is held together with artificial parts. I have rods in my neck, a knee replaced and a shoulder replaced. I played hard when I was younger. I can remember when two of them probably happened. Both involved high school football in 1977. I hurt my shoulder and they sent me to the team doctor and he said nothing was wrong. My neck injury happened against Capital High School. I dove to make a tackle and the running back’s knee caught me under my face mask and jammed my neck back. I remember laying on the ground and literally saw stars. It was pitch dark but I could hear the crowd. They carted me off in an ambulance to the hospital. Like the injury on my shoulder they told nothing was wrong.

I’ve been amazed at the folks with disabilities who play. Quadruple amputees, disabled vets, blind, etc…. I hope you can find a way, but if not, you could maybe get some joy from just putting and easy chipping. Best of luck and cheers! Oh, and Support City Park staying in current form!

I definitely support City Park. When I was a kid my mama would drop my brother and I off and then go to work. We would play golf all day. My brother made a hole in one on the first hole. There was an older gentleman that saw it and asked what kind of ball he was using. He told him it was a Titleist. He told him to get in touch with them because back then they had companies that would make a plaque with the ball on it. He got in touch with them and they told him to send the ball to them. We it came back it was a small plaque with the score card and the ball on it
