My daughter in college texted this to my wife last night:

"I'm doing Thanksgiving with my roommates tomorrow before I head home. How long does it take to microwave a turkey?"

My wife responded:

"Don't come home. Your father and I are getting a divorce."

I don’t know why people think meat doesn’t cook good in the microwave

I make all my steaks in the microwave

thanksgiving gathering with your friends instead of your family and usually takes place before you go home for real thanksgiving

So it's just Thanksgiving still? Why not just call it Thanksgiving then.

Friendsgiving

Do people really say friends giving? Did you really say that? If so, why? Just curious where it came from.

You feeling left out great grandpaw??

I'm 31. Also, I won't be great grandpaw until probably next year or the year after....and even in the trailer park, we just say Thanksgiving like normal folk.

It’s not called familygiving so why would it be friendsgiving?

You know millennials, especially the ones in this thread, are 30+ right?

Such a strange little melt.

Seems being triggered is not limited to millennials.

-“Hey Mrs XYZ, me and Mrs Cotten totally forgot about a Friendsgiving we’re hosting tonight and we’re in a rush, how long do I need to microwave this 25 lb turkey for? It’s completely frozen solid”

-“Cotten WHAT the hell?!?! No!!!

Anyone else’s parents/in-laws capitalize random words?

Lol. I texted my mom the question. Then texted that I was asking for a friend. She replied, “please tell him don’t do that!!!! Tell him you have to cook it in the oven!!”

Notice how she assumed it was he?

Then I texted her that it was a joke. Her reply, “thank God. I was going to invite him to our dinner. Was worried” lol

This wouldn't work for me as I'm not actually a useless millennial and can cook as good or better than my parents.

Weird flex, but ok.
