Do people really say friends giving? Did you really say that? If so, why? Just curious where it came from.

My dad said, "Is your Google thing broken? How the hell would I know that?"

I then said, "well how long would you do it if you had to guess?"

His response, "Go to Honeybaked Ham or Publix."

It’s a thanksgiving gathering with your friends instead of your family and usually takes place before you go home for real thanksgiving or in place of it if you and some friends aren’t able to spend it with your family. Very popular these days.

Back in the early 70s when microwaves were magic, my Dad made a turkey using the recipe from the Radar Range cookbook.

It was not 25 pounds, though. I don't remember if it was particularly bad or good. I am guessing bad, as it was a one-time thing.

It IS a great joke and I keep checking back into this thread for the responses to lol at. But as much as I love pranking my parents this one won't work at all. For those millenials who don't have much cooking experience it will lead to some great responses. For the millenials like me who can actually cook the responses are going to be lame. "What are you taking about? Just use the smoker or oven like you normally do".

I don't know why that Thot guy is getting upset over one comment.

But there is a difference between trolling and making yourself out to be Bobby Flay to impress everyone on a message board.

no one is upset, we're making fun of you because you took an innocent joke thread and turned it into a weird "I'm a more refined millennial" thread.

Seems like most of the responses are appropriate and don't really fit into the parent text funny box. How are these funny?

There are funny ones out there. Don’t focus on the unfunny ones...the article is mainly just to show what’s going on

My cousin did this to me.

My reply: 60 minutes, don’t forget stuffing. Baste at 20 minute intervals.

His reply: for real?

My reply: experimented with it last year. The time varies on whether you have a 900 watt or 1100 watt microwave.

2 hours go by....

his reply: You fricking ruin everything.
