Best thing I've read on the OT this year.

Great Christmas gift for her and your family.

Hell ya, brother! Everything you said is true, but we all take it for granted

My baby girl spent her birthday in the ER and then on evening of her birthday party, we were called by the ER to “get her to the ER ASAP, we found something in her tests from earlier in the week”.

That was literally the worst night of my life, and it was even more exhausting trying to hold it together because my wife couldn’t.

Turns out she was fine, but we spent 4 days in the hospital

Just reading this thread. Glad she is ok and everything appears to be working out. I’m not very paternal nor am I particularly emotional, but the pics of her really got to me. Don’t know if I could’ve handled all that. Very happy for you and your family and hope she has a lifetime of health and happiness. Y’all too.

Omg. I’m so so so happy she is ok. Good for you for not stopping until they found out what was wrong. I am a NICU parent too so I get it. We wound up in the hospital when our little dude was 7/8 weeks old for what we thought was RSV. At one point some student/resident was like ok we gonna send you home and the Dr in the hospital was like, “these are NICU parents, you can’t just say you are sending their kid home.” “They will not take that easily, they know when something is wrong”. Glad you pushed for her to be checked.

She is beautiful. Happy she is home. It will surely be a Merry Christmas!

My daughter had to have surgery at Shands when she was only 6 months old and her having those tubes in her is something I will never forget. God bless you and your family and sending prayers for your little princess!

Praying for you bud.

My son stopped breathing and turned blue for about a minute until we gave him CPR and the ambulance was able to take us to the ER. We’re in the hospital for about 5 days, turned out to be reflux related.

I noticed his breaths were seeming wayyyyy too far apart and was googling “how often do infants take a breath” when he turned from pink to blue in an instant. It was the scariest shite I’ve ever been through. I shudder to think how my life would be different if I hadn’t been right there at that time.

He was on a breathing monitor for 3 months but since then has been fine.

I’m glad things appear to be turning out okay. I’ll keep y’all in my prayers, anyway. You have a beautiful baby girl.
