Obviously it sucks for the guy that died. But I always go back to his father and how awful that must have been for him to literally be down there and be able to physically touch your son, but also know that there is literally nothing you can do to save him from death.

And IIRC, didn't they start to sort of move him out little by little (like several inches) a couple of times, only for it to fail and he slid a little further down and got more stuck?

I can't even imagine the psychological trauma that would put you through as a father.

Why would anyone do that in real life? Also wouldn't it be hard to breathe?

Yet another benefit of being fat, I have never been tempted to go spelunking.

I with you on that brother. The panic that would set in knowing your gonna die there and there's nothing anyone can do for you. I would ask them to sedate me or to put me down humanely. I would beg my brother to go find some fentanyl and Valium and put me to forever sleep.
I got stuck in a ditch drain one time with my feet sticking out. Crawled in trying to catch a big arse frog..
Screw being suffocated and being stuck anywhere

You cannot pay me enough money to watch that video, not a chance I am clicking on that link

I’ve watched several intense documentaries, suspenseful movies, etc. that made my palms sweat and heart race. But after watching a documentary on the nutty putty Cave incident it’s about the closest I’ve ever come to having a legit panic attack

Saw it 2 nights ago and have seen other stuff. I cannot fathom why anyone would do this. If one can only snake crawl into a hole with no turnaround, nope. I saw a video on the “birth canal” at Nutty Putty. Nope.
