Any OT baws know who’s two story house that is right next to the BC Spillway Bridge? I’ve seen it there forever and never have seen any people or movement when driving by and always wondered who’s place that is and if they use it for a fishing camp or what?

It’s where that bald eagle that hangs around the I-10/I-310 split lives.

If ur talking about that big metal roof house, it's a hunting/fishing camp. Owned by a group of guys. Prob got wrekt in Hurricane Ida, but looks like they have rebuilt.

Used to be a bunch of duck blinds on each side of the road but I bet they’re no ducks to kill now.

Yes it's blue with a Metal Roof. That's quite a camp...it's multiple stories with A/C.
I've always wondered how do they access it? Is it only accessible by water?

You can drive there from Laplace/Norco area. Access/Service road along the levees.

Before Katrina, it was between I10 and railroad track with several boat sheds. They rebuilt on the other side of the tracks.

We always used to joke that it was a CIA listening station. Had an American flag and all those antennae.

Is it the LaBranche camp?
Posted on 7/6/26 at 5:24 pm to sidewalkside
One of those camps is where some guy was abusing boys. The Monteleones own most of that marsh.

It's a hunting club that my grandfather belonged to at one time...
