Been watching these runs for West/Central Alabama.
With this run North AL gets the heaviest. I've had just under 7" of rain this month at my house. This run of the GFS shows 10"+ more by the end of the month.

Development chances are now up to 70% over the next 5 days with the disturbance in the southern Gulf. Again, regardless of development or not, rainfall is the primary concern as it stands right now. Rains could arrive by Friday and potentially getting heavier into Saturday.

Well it just keeps getting better. Who ask for a hurricane for Father’s Day. I assume you meant the damn drink????

Hurricanes Rules
1. When in doubt just guess bay St. Louis area or lake Charles and you will be right half the time.
2. When you see the midget “angel of death” from the weather channel on your flight or your town you are screwed.
3. There is always a hurricane in play during my sons or my birthday (August 21-31)
4. Old fisherman and locals can sense the damn things somehow. And hooded babies obviously.
5. You will be a ton of false alarms to wear you down before the big one hits you.
6. No matter what you do your generator will not crank when you need it.

So is Father’s Day dooms day or is the guess tied to a holiday?

12Z Accumulated rainfall through the 24th. North AL getting more rain than you LA folks on this run.

As rds mentioned earlier, GFS and Euro have a shortwave diving out of Canada toward the Great Lakes and Ohio Valley. This erodes the western ridge keeping it pinned south and gets the kick north to move it along into Louisiana and eventually absorbed into a big trough.
Makes sense.
This timeframe also leads to a sloppy system with multiple rotations competing to be the main one. The GFS is sloppier than the Euro but both depict a loose and east loaded system.
Wind can be sneaky with these if you get some good thunderstorms rocking and the wind gets to mix down, but often it's light to moderate rain and light winds in these situations.
Early weekend timeframe, rain primary concern. Somewhere in Louisiana because of course.

That is from weathermodels.com. It is a subscription-based website that has their own products based on model guidance.

The vast majority of that rain is going to come between the 18th and the 20th.
