LSU Baseball Signee Nathaneal Davis has announced that he has withdrawn his name from the MLB Draft and will enroll at LSU.

The highly touted athlete from Orlando, Fla. (Bishop Moore High School) is expected to compete for a starting outfield position immediately.

Davis was projected as a fourth-round pick in the MLB Draft. He joins Derek Curiel and Omar Serna as top position player prospects who pulled out of the draft to join the Tigers.

This is potentially misleading and should be worded better. Curiel decided on college instead of MLB after HS, but is now a draft eligible sophomore.

Yep. I had to reread it thinking wait, how did I miss this. Took me about three reads followed by disappointment ??

They meant Curiel pulled out of the draft coming out of high school. It was pretty obvious what they meant.

I was stoked about Curiel then confused because Serna is not draft eligible. Definitely written poorly.
