It's also hilarious that people championing the "horrible failure by the government" are generally the same that want expanded government in our lives and to run our healthcare system. News flash, the federal government is big, bloated, full of red tape, full of waste, slow to react, and when it fails...it gives itself more funding to "fix it" in the future.

All of this is true. We could literally cut all gov't spending in half and no one would notice a difference.

And now they are openly praising the commies.

One thing about the American Left: You can ALWAYS count on them to take the wrong side of everything.

I'm so glad I don't vote Democrat any longer. I should have my arse beat for voting for the ones I did.

HE TOOK IT SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!

the fact that he didn't run out sky-screaming indicates as much. He reacted more aggressively as the true facts presented themselves. But the dumbass sky-screamers who are afraid of their own shadow (but ironically NOT scared of the influenza that kills 15,000+/year) have the luxury and benefit of hindsight to stoke their media fed hysteria and get them to think that this is something they could've handled better.

frick em. I hope the get the Kung flu just so they can achieve complete victimhood.

Well considering Spain bought a bunch of shitty test from China that are failing to detect positive cases. Who know where their numbers would be.

This is fake news.

WHO never offered us tests.

LINK

WHO only offers testing recipes to first world nations, not actual tests. But we already had the recipe.

WHO only offers tests to nations not able to produce their own.

This is not “fake news”. I never said that WHO offered is tests. We did have the ability to easily and quickly manufacture the WHO test ourselves, but we didn’t. Why not? We wanted our own proprietary test different than everyone else. And we fricked it up.

Private labs had WHO style tests out in 5 days once given the go ahead from the FDA. The CDC had months and completely dropped the ball. They fricked up. And the FDA should’ve acknowledged that early on and given private labs the go ahead to do what CDC failed to do way before March 1st.

Sorry, I misunderstood your comment.

Yes, CDC and FDA need to be reformed after this.

Bureacratic inertia.

But we were hardly alone in the slow testing roll out.

uk, france, etc also very slow.

First, that’s not true. The odds are the Russia has more than us, and it’s a dead certainty China does.

Second, we have far larger populations than all those other nutsacks.

Oh, and third, we’re testing more. Case is more a function of testing than spread. Look at deaths for your metric. That’s the only honest metric, except for the red commies who lie about everything.

The failure to have widespread testing available early along with significant contact tracing was absolutely pathetic.

So the federal government is supposed to have massive stockpiles of tests on hand at all times for viruses we don't even know exist yet? Are you really that stupid? Or is this just that typical reflex by the left that the government "ought to do something!"?

Are you really this stupid? Bahrain had widely available tests from the start as did S Korea, Japan, and others. We had months to produce tests and failed. Private labs had tests out in 5 days. 5 DAYS!

Think about how much better along we’d be if Quest and Labcorp had been given the go ahead in February to develop and produce test instead of waiting until March.

Also everyone likes to comment on the testing and gloss over the utter lack of contact tracing. Is your head so far up the government’s arse and so self absorbed with your team “winning” that you can’t acknowledge we fricked this up?

Honestly, what did you expect? Some miraculous willingness to listen to the experts, accept what they had to say and deliver negative/alarming news?

Now we're hearing that support is happening... Check out some of the social media postings from those on the front lines of this. You'll see the level of support.
