The issue is many people are already infected with this virus however they are not able to be tested due to not showing strong enough symptoms. I personally went to get tested two weeks ago and was told i had to have 103 fever or higher. I’m 99% certain I had it, and there are hundreds of thousands of me’s out there. If you add that to the formula this virus is not all that bad.

It's also hilarious that people championing the "horrible failure by the government" are generally the same that want expanded government in our lives and to run our healthcare system. News flash, the federal government is big, bloated, full of red tape, full of waste, slow to react, and when it fails...it gives itself more funding to "fix it" in the future.
The United States as a country is a group of STATES...using the country as a whole is a dumb way to measure our response. Compare each state to the European/Asian countries would be a lot more valid. Our federal government really shouldn't be coordinating this, the states and cities should .

The failure to have widespread testing available early along with significant contact tracing was absolutely pathetic. The federal government started great with travel restrictions, but then completely fricked up by failing to follow up on that. CDC should’ve used the tests the WHO was using until their own test was validated and mass produced. FDA should’ve enabled private labs much earlier than March 1st as it was clear well before then that the CDC was in dee shite with their tests.

The idea is you suffer 2 weeks of pain or 4 months of house arrest? I'll take 2 weeks of pain. 7 trillion to fight the virus or 1 trillion. The longer this drags out the more it will cost dollar wise and economy wise. The more taxes you will pay etc

WHO only offers testing recipes to first world nations, not actual tests. But we already had the recipe.
WHO only offers tests to nations not able to produce their own.
