We don't know what was said, only what Spell said was stated.
I'm telling you from personal experience that Spell can be a piece of shite. Motherfricker calling in false crimes, accusing people of vandalism (cutting the chain and lock) and trespassing (going off the road into his parking lot) because we weren't part of his Pentacostal flock, but instead regular citizens living in the community he brought his church into.
Push your car into a Catholic, Methodist or Baptist parking lot during rush hour to get it off the road, tell me if they call the police on you making false accusations.

If my son who was 20 and screaming at people and saying he was going to rape them
or their family members gets beat up by a 48 year old pastor, I’m not releasing the video and probably disowning him for being a pussy that can’t fight.
So no I’m not shooting someone dispensing an arse whipping to my kid. It’s a fist fight and would stay that way.

Dude! There are pictures all over the internet of these jackholes grabbing their crotch, flipping the bird, making threats while holding a gun, etc. I think it's pretty safe to say that the accusations are very likely credible. No telling what vile language came our of their mouths towards women and children.
Just because a POS car broke down and you pulled it into their parking lot and they called the cops doesn't mean that Tony Spell was in the wrong here in this case. Dude deserved a beating and got one....

Oh, and as for deflection-
I'm not taking sides with either a-hole in this fight. I do know Spell's a piece of shite and no "man of God", don't know the other guy from Adam.
But I said Spell is stupid and lucky not to be dead, and I stand by that 100%. The article states the other guy was standing in front of his house, which apparently is also where the guy's father lives. They acknowledge a long term "feud". Spell went to him, and I don't really care if it's at the roadside or not, that's close enough for most people who have a yard. He then fought the guy and continued hitting him while pinning him down, which is on video and not open for debate. He got at least 2 more punches in that way.
You do that to anyone, in front of his house where there may be another family member looking out the window, do NOT be surprised if someone comes out and shoots your arse.
Oh, and then he makes the little comment about "I laid hands on someone" like that's cool? That isn't what is meant by that in a religious manner, even the most casual layperson understands that, and this guy is supposed to be a "pastor". He's an a-hole.
But, y'all defend him, because "he stood up to covid" or something like that.

I don't know Tony from Adam, but I've been in and around a lot of these 'Apostolic Teaching/personal revelation from God' type of churches. What you're saying is in line with what I've come to expect.
They have a utilitarian view of people. If your not "in line" with what Gawd is doing then you're considered pretty useless as a human being.
Both of these things can be true:
1. Those neighbors are mentally off, emotionally stunted, and/or psychotic individuals.
2. Tony and his group are a-holes to lots of people.

Even if they weren’t doing that the fact a 48 year old whipped him that bad is embarrassing. The family is retarded for releasing more video. Everyone thinks and is confirmed that the kid is a limp wrister and he failed as a parent.

You seem very emotionally invested in this. I mean, sure, Spell is dumb and lucky to not be dead. You could say the same of the others involved as well.
It's wild that you're laying all of the blame at Spell's feet, just because you're pissed that someone from his church once called the cops on you. Never mind the kid yelling threats and swinging first.

The kid could have mental issues. We don’t know the kid’s side of the story. “Pastor” has a flock of people all ready to show up and create pressure and bias of public perception. I want to hear from the young man and learn his side of the story. The pastor comes off as smug and arrogant. His flock may not admit it, but outside if his flock, the dude oozes smug “can’t touch me” arrogance. From his facial expression right down to his greased back hair.
For all we know, at a young age the kid coulda very well been a victim of the pastor.
I hope it’s an unbiased judge.
