ended up beneath the ocean floor.
Excuse me for being a simpleton, but how would they wind up beneath the floor of the ocean?
Did the craft dig a hole in the floor and bury itself?

They journeyed to the center of the earth

Considering how much info is coming out that points to OceanGate and Stockton Rush being at best hyperbolic promoters and at worst blatant liars about the abilities of the Titan in some ways they kind of didn't.
OceanGate and Rush were out there doing shite like acting as if NASA helped test the thing and claimed the vessel met and even exceeded safety standards from risk assessment company DNV even though they never actually paid for DNV to asses the sub.

2.5 miles below the surface in a small touring sub sounds dangerous. Hope they are found ok.
They’re screwed

oh well they will all be dead in a few hours

Jesus Christ himself could’ve built the sub and I’d still bet that there ain’t a shot at the gun range that DNV, ABS or any other regulatory agency is putting their stamp of approval on something taking live humans down to 12,000 feet

I’ll never understand people that take risks like going in a red neck submarine or hiking Mt Everest just to risk death. Hope they’re okay but doesn’t look like it.

They are just paying money to feel good about themselves.
Also look up the Cantillon Effect.

Yep, the sub had a leak or imploded, IMO. I hope I'm wrong.

I know we’ve all seen the picture, but I just can’t get passed it. Imagine paying that much money and the captain breaks out the Mad Katz controller.

I think they are still alive, but the clock is ticking. Not sure how much oxygen is left

I mean to be fair those are two different things. At least hiking you can turn back. Redneck submarine you are 100% at the mercy of the hillbilly.

The stepson of British billionaire Hamish Harding believes Blink-182 will get him through "life's toughest times."
Brian Szasz spoke out on social media to defend his decision to attend a Blink-182 concert amid a high-stakes rescue mission to find his stepfather, as well as four other passengers, onboard the missing Titanic submersible.
"Yes I went to @blink-182 last night," Szasz, an audio engineer based in San Diego, wrote on his Instagram Stories June 20 alongside a photo of him at the venue. "What am I supposed to do sit at home and watch the news? Not sorry this band has helped me through hard times since 1998."
The 37-year-old shared news of his outing on Facebook June 19, according to screenshots obtained by multiple outlets, where he wrote, "It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the blink-182 show as it's my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times!"

They did this to themselves. They signed a waiver and had to know exactly what they were getting into. The only consolation is the stupid owner / CEO is with them to suffer same fate. He cut corners and ignored safety, and hired unqualified to make this thing?
Can’t waive negligence

I mean, Tom is back in the band. I’ll allow it.

At least Everest you have a decent view and see some cool shite throughout the expedition. These fricking guys had a window the size of a basketball hoop. That sub is pretty much a septic tank with a porthole. The only reason you’d ever get in that is to say you did. You can’t convince me that anything you experience is at all worth the trouble let alone the risk and money.
