All of that will mean nothing in a couple of years.

I didn't spend anywhere close to that. Maybe one month and I made a hell of a lot less money back then

Is that pre or post tax because I don't even make that much money and 3 months pre tax would buy a fricking rock

Not for me. I wouldn't hang an arbitrary number on any purchase. That three month thing was totally made up by the diamond industry. I think it's bullshite all around, but it's part of our society and we are kind of forced to buy diamonds. However, the three month thing is a little ridiculous to me.

Thank goodness, the price has gone down.

Have you ever tried to sell a diamond?

I got suckered into it as well.

Don't fall for it.

Just pick a modest yet attractive ring. If she leaves you over it, you dodged a bullet.

Uh I thought it was two months.

Been married a long time. I think the ring was about $9k.

Big mistake. Wife is great but diamonds are so stupid. I should have just bought a little slab of gold. Wonder if the price of gold has held up since 2003.

Quit buying your girls expensive arse rings. Yall are giving other women high expectations and that sucks for their men.
