I don’t understand why people spend that much on rings. I’d rather pay for a good honeymoon

You would

You think you should decide his budget before you become husband and wife?

Pro tip: it's none of your business what his budget is.

You are a fricking idiot.
If I’m married or going to marry someone you bet your arse I’m going to know my household budget.

That’s just a good sound financial practice.

And I don’t watch trash TV, I work everyday and you’re fricking delusional. Like they say, there’s a sucker born every minute, glad you found yours.

Protip
Stay married to that one because your bs won’t cut it in this day and time.

Then why did you refer to it as a household budget?

Oops

Or were you trying to control his disposable income before you got married?

If Yeti made wedding rings they would be 6 months salary, but each one would come with a sweet sticker.

I didn't consult my now wife about budget or style, but I did go to one of her best friends who happens to be a jeweler.

Because even if you pay cash for something should you not still have a set budget?

Which is a set amount that you are comfortable paying. A amount that you have set aside from other household bills and are only willing to pay that?

I mean this from the bottom of my heart. You sound like you have a great wife and you apparently love her. If you’re happy and that’s what works for you then that’s all that matters. It’s just my opinion that if I had (I’m assuming you did) the marriage talk that I would at least be asked what I liked. It’s just curiosity.

Sure we did

And we looked at 100's of rings. At the end of the day I bought what I wanted to give her and wasn't worried if she was disappointed.

If she would have shown disappointment I would have walked away because the shite wasn't real.
