So you had her input. Thanks for making my point.

Then you had some idea of what she liked and had you said that earlier I would have you long ago.

Now I apologize. Glad you’re happy.

Hate to say this, but

I make $240K per year, and bought my ol’ Ladies ring for $6000. There’s a reason I’m not broke.

About two months for me, but I had the rocks and had a custom made ring. Few more after that.

She never looked at the ring I picked because I don't think she thought I would spend that much on a her ring.

I’d rather go with the 3 months salary.

Oh no Fish!!!

I never said that. I for one think anyone should go broke over a engagement ring. That would be really selfish of a woman to demand that. I’m not that at all.

Is he spending disposable income or bringing 12k worth of debt into the marriage?

Disposable income is really nonya. Debt is different.

Really need to only spend $2000 on a ring, maybe $3000. Three months salary for a ring? frick that shite. If you really need to spend that much on a ring, I'll be more happy being single for life, unless I was loaded.

I’m not so much worried about disposable income as I have my own money but yeah, debt is way different.

That is why I am still with my love of my life married almost 40 years.

I had many nice setting made for my dear over the years and she still asked as to why. Always tell her because I can.

Got a nice sack of stones, very old and new. Many I bought over the years and many that were passed down to me.
