I’ve got a buddy who lives a block or two away from where all the shite is going down in Portland He said if not for the “OMG riots!” headlines he wouldn’t even know anything was happening

My nephew owns three businesses there and he says that the protests are in like a two block designated area with regular hours. He has no problem with the protests and he’s been keeping his shops open later because of increased foot traffic.

mayor has said they will track down the latest protestors and throw the book at them

Hmmmm ... the AG may have a say in that. She has already let 25K felons loose.

Y the time I turned on the news, the biggest story of the day was the abrupt thunder storm that knocked out power for millions

You’ll go if that’s where they send you for re-education camp.

Been to all 3 many times over several decades.

All are cities that had many positive attributes.

Sad to see them become shite holes due to poor government. Voters’ choice really...

The parts of those cities that you would actually go visit are pretty fricking great.

People assume that the general white population of Chicago is being effected by this at all. Or that businesses are. They’re not. Anyone with a white collar job is working from home right now for the most part.

I’m in LP and would never be able to say that there were rioting happening in RN and the loop.

Dude the loop and RN is where all of the businesses are, how are they not impacted?

There was looting on North ave which is literally lincoln park

If you haven't visited any of those cities already, especially Chicago, you never had any intention of going anyway.

It's pretty sad that you limit your life experiences to some bullshite you see on the news. All three are really cool cities with fantastic food, sights, and interesting things to do. Chicago is a world class city.

Seattle does have all those bikini baristas though ;0) All those cities are fine but they need to get their sheet together.
