Most of the problems are solved if you remove the G5 teams.

Other conferences use rankings to help determine the conference championship, and the acc didnt, so they are really the only conference that this could realistically happen to

This is just 100% not true. The big10 and sec basically do the same thing the ACC does when it comes to tiebreakers.

Ole Miss and A&M were both ranked higher than Bama and yet not in the SECCG. The only reason they aren't complaining is bc they were a lock to be in the playoffs so it only benefits them to STFU

There is nothing wrong with the playoff. Fixing NIL, Signing Day, and the Portal needs to be looked at first.

Agreed.

The inherent problem with college football is that strength of schedules are so drastically different from team to team it simply creates an unbalanced system that really can't be fixed other than by making the playoff field larger.
The acc commissioner is awful but literally the sec and big10 have like the exact same tiebreaker BS. It just didn’t matter for them bc the other teams are playoff locks
Pretty entertaining game with unfortunately very little at stake
Good karma missing the fg there when you should absolutely be going for it
Great play by the D there but absolutely no idea why Ohio refuses to run the ball
Low block on the defense. First time I’ve ever heard of that
Indiana just looks a lot better. Missed fg and that bad int has this game closer than it should be
Yeah I don’t think Ohio states secondary is actually good
I’m not sure I’ve ever seen them stop the play like that and call it a sack
It is truly ironic that the team you are stanning for lost to one of the worst teams in the conference you are shitting on
So it sounds like we are all in agreement that none of these big10 teams have a schedule worth a damn
I’m very curious to see if Indiana can actually keep this a game.

They have beaten one team all season, Oregon who has one of the more pathetic schedules I’ve ever seen
The only thing I will say is it is absolutely wild for anyone to use current hypothetical betting lines to compare these teams especially when some of them have actually played each other this season
I think if anything their should be one play-in game, G5 winner vs #12.
I actually think its the Cowboys.

Trade London, trade Bijan. Trade anyone that isn/'t part of the defensive rookie class. Commit to tanking next season. Draft a QB in 2027.

If the Falcons truly want to right the ship that is how you do it.

Instead, here is what they will do:

They will break off London and Bijan, making them two of the highest paid players int he league. They will go after a bridge QB next season, someone like Brissett while we wait on Penix. The team will go 7-10. We will enter 2027 no closer to anything and still have unanswered questions at QB.
I would say an easy solve for this is for the conferences to reward those teams in their championship games with money. Give the winners $10M, the losers $5M.

SMU being in ACC title contention shows how weak the ACC is, they lost to shitty Baylor at home and shitty TCU

Bama being in sec title contention shows how weak the sec is, they lost to shitty FSU.
If you want to really make things complicated you allow UVA to lose to NCST but it doesn’t count as an acc game
