Picture a skinny white guy with a bandanna face covering, sunglasses and a skateboard. Our resident political experts are fascinated by them.

I’ve been to all 3 and really enjoyed myself. (I’ve been to Chicago many times)

But it was under different circumstances than what is happening now.
I'm not a fan of Seattle but I visited over the weekend and (despite TulaneLsu's "civilizational ruin" thread) it didn't seem any different than the last 50 times I've visited over the years other than face masks and more buildings. If you liked it before you'll still like it. If you hated it before you'll still hate it. If not for the internet I wouldn't have had any idea about any of the blm/riot shite.

Of course all that could go out the window with the police being defunded.

Sad thing is, all 3 were really nice cities to visit. But i concur, I won't be going to any of those anytime soon. And you can add NYC to the list as well.

I've never seen an Antifa member in the wild. I'm almost curious at this point
I've been here 10 years and haven't seen any. I'm convinced that the antifa and Proud Boys that we see fighting in Portland and Seattle are the same two hundred people clashing repeatedly. When you watch the videos they even know each others names.

You would never go to? Are you a huge pussy? Don't be one of those people that hear about some bad shite going on in one part of the city so you just up and decide you will never go there..

Like after the Las Vegas shooting, I remember hearing people saying "I will not being going to Las Vegas anytime soon".

You can spend all your life in small town USA avoiding the city because you are scared of crime and one day some random frick randomly picks your house, breaks into it, steals your shite and shoots you. You have to go to the hospital, you survive and go home where all your shite got stolen.

I'm a lot more concerned with being in the wrong place at the wrong time around our local thugs. Running into a pack of Antifa doesn't concern me in the slightest.

My cousin lives in Portland and I've talked to him a few times about this. He has a roommate that identifies with Antifa and sometimes goes to the protests. My cousin never has, and says his roommate is the only person he knows associated with them. Funny thing is my cousin says one his roommate's best friends identifies with the Proud Boys. He said they're both complete dumbasses.

Yeah. I'm far more worried about a junkie breaking into my car than I am of antifa.

Chicago is awesome in the summer when it’s not an election year.

This is election year shenanigans. We’ll see it again in 2024 and 2028.

Visited Chicago a few years back.

Cool town. Lots to do.

Shame what's happened.

Had wanted to see Seattle, but that won't happen in the foreseeable future.

No interest in Portland.
