Dude the loop and RN is where all of the businesses are, how are they not impacted?

Everyone’s still working from home for the most part. If not, there are enough protests in the loop most organizations have planning for them a part of their business continuity plans.

I got a text at 6AM yesterday morning telling me that I had to work from home (not that we have any choice) and to stay away from the loop.

I have a hard time co side ring North Ave Lincoln park. Yes, I would consider that corner by the Apple store to be a park o Lincoln park, but to the east of that, that’s old town and Gold Coast. I see Lincoln park really being a little further north. Between j Parker and diversely

Wouldn’t live in any of those cities but I’ve enjoyed my visits to Seattle and Portland much more than my visits to New Orleans.

Easily one of the top cities in the US to visit.

Haven't been to either, and won't be going anytime soon, but the food and beer scene would be awesome to check out.

Overreaction central. Good lord.

They are big cities, and yes, they lean left further than a lot of us do. But all of them have unreal GDPs, tons of neighborhoods that are nice and remain untouched by chaos, and wealth that states like Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama can't even imagine - especially Chicago and Seattle.

I'd imagine the aggregate of people in the US would swear off visiting the boot, Sip, or Bama versus Seattle, Chicago, or Portland (though - I admittedly think it's way overrated).

How will those economies ever recover

Is this a joke? Those economies are already 20 times better than Louisiana, Mississippi or anywhere else across the south.

Might be, but the breweries alone would make a long weekend trip worth it.

Portland is one hr from the ocean And one from the mountains mt hood. Not many places like that at all. One of my favorite places to visit I have been there 1x per year every year for the last 5.

Ya, Portland and the surrounding area is beautiful. I'll be there again in September for a wedding. Staying near Mt Hood Village on the Sandy River. Really looking forward to it.

Best part is we're not going anywhere near the downtown nuttery.

I'd actually be curious to go see some of the downtown nuttery if I was in the area.

I've been to Chicago twice it's nice if you stay out of the shitholes. Just like any other big city.

The combined economies of Lousiana and Mississippi aren't even Charlotte, North Carolina.

Where do you people get this shite? Honestly?

Three cities I will NEVER go to
Seattle
Chicago
Portland

I’d rather visit and stay in the slums of Haiti.

I've never been to any of the three but definitely want to visit some day. Not anytime in the near-future, however.
