He also said if the squatter is on probation he just brings a firearm into the home and the police can then take him away for a parole violation.
Modern problems require modern solutions.

Counter-squatters are awesome.
They also play loud music at night, cook smelly food, etc. Be horrible roommates.

Squatting is a way of life in Maine. Renters occupy in summer months, pay rent and utilities just like normal. Until winter. They stop paying everything. By state law, owner can't evict them and has to pay utilities so they stay comfortable.

I think they're saying "There are people living there who will not let anyone into the property. After you buy it what happens to them is now your problem."

It might be illegal in Louisiana, I don't know, I figure it is. But I didn't care, I knew neither of these people had the balls to show up at my house with a cop and ask for a new key to the house they stopped paying for
Both instances were single guys so it was a little different. I'm sure I would have went about it in a legal ay if it was a family.
Years ago before I do what I do now I worked on foreclosed homes for banks. Some I'd just have to go in and take everything out of the house and some of these houses had been foreclosed and empty for years but some of them were freshly foreclosed on. I used to carry a pistol in the truck because it's a bad feeling when you're in a house throwing everything in a dump trailer and the person that used to live there pulls up. Had one mobile I was in had 5 dudes in three truck pull up and block my truck from getting out of the driveway. I thought that one was going to be bad, defintiely had my heart rate up.
