Socially conservative, fiscally liberal baby. I, for one, just love all the services and infrastructure we get for all we pay

Somebody has to pay for all the Medicaid and welfare users in New Orleans (except uptown and lakeview) and Northern BR.

I live in Illinois, so understand when I say this that I know a thing or two about paying ridiculous taxes: That is fricking insane.

You would think with how much they tax us, we’d have good roads, and good public services, but that’s far from the case. So where’s the money going…

I received a letter in the mail yesterday saying I did not report my income correctly on my 2023 Louisiana taxes and owe over $1200 for tax, penalties and interest. Checking my tax forms and they say I owe for social security and the $6000 for my federal deduction that I did not claim as income on my Louisiana tax return. The person or computer sending out these notices must not know that Louisiana does not charge taxes on social security. I guess I will be spending hours trying to get this straghtened out tomorrow.

Time to get a large P.O. Box outside of Vinton, or use the address of a friend or relative outside of Vinton.

Cuz screw Vinton.

so you basically care more about money than morality. just to be clear, you need to start worrying more about morality.

Yes

If I want to donate money to the less fortunate I will.

I shouldn't be forced to donate by extortion.
