So basically what BR is right now?
Kind of like Cleo Fields who lives off Highland Road until an election year and he changes his residence to Hollywood Ave???

Cleo graduated from Southern law in 1987. He passed the bar and became licensed to practice law in LA in 1998. He will get around to putting his actual address eventually.

He took the Vincent Gambini approach to passing the bar?

|St George may cut BR’s budget but keeping that money in the parish doesn’t hurt nearly as bad as it leaving the parish.
At which point the metro council likely push a “city tax” on people working in BR but living elsewhere, similar to what exists in places like NYC where people move out to the suburbs due to costs.|
That is the next thing, a city tax that will be placed on people who work in BR but live in the 7 surrounding parishes. This will be interesting to watch trying to works its way through the state legislature.

How can you gerrymander an area that already exists?
The only people that have gerrymandered anything is the city of BR by annexing the commercial areas of SG

It's obvious a child wrote that story.

I can't wait to vote for St George.
I've had enough of these fig-a-trons in the media and in the mayor's office.

CBC will be all for it. I think a bunch of other groups would be trying to kill it because it helps set bad precedent for other large cities and their suburban parishes.

Lesson could be learned from this.
Get a degree in a marketable skill along with passion to improve this skill.
Market yourself well.
Earn money and move out of the hood to a nicer area.
That is the American dream.

So SO much idiocy in that article

When I was growing up, the VAST majority of white people went to private schools that NO black people went to. No one said a word.

Is this the same girl that wrote something racist, then hung it on her door?

Did they take the article down? Link is now dead

If the link is dead, it was either a mercy kill or an attempt to pretend they didn’t embarrass themselves publishing it.

The link was most definitely dead. I went to read to see if there were more comments and the article wasn’t there. Now it is again

It was heavily edited
all mention of St. Joseph Academy has been removed, with this added at the bottom:
*A previous version of this column incorrectly stated the Evans children would be forced to attend St. Joseph Academy if the St. George vote succeeded. This error has since been corrected. The Evans children would have the option to attend any public school. Additionally, St. Joseph Academy is not within the proposed St. George area.
