mean, I see where that could be the case -- but I guess it was never made clear in any of the discussions I've followed.
It’s not the case. There will not be an ISD set up in SG next year.

We cannot know what her deal is. She is on the soccer team. Scholarships can be quite lucrative.

What has happened to my beloved alumnus' school paper...?
This fricking story looks more like something I'd read in middle school.
"...children who attend schools that won't be apart of their current school district as well.."
apart-- separate, not connected to.
a part -- a member of, joined with.
Seriously? This is a writer for a COLLEGE newspaper?
Do they even HAVE editors and proofreaders anymore?

Were there actual requests to be annexed?
Yes, the mayor requested that the mall and hospital annex

How can I request to be in St. George's zone? I'm so close, but not quite.

Kip/SWB (via Mary Olive P) actively solicited annexation requests from them.
But not from black residents in the unincorporated areas.
Odd, don't you think?

frick her. Let SWB, the city council, Gravy and NBR figure out where to collect their Benz and Tahoe leases. frick NBR, shite will finally pass.

Don’t you love how all the anti-SG people kept claiming SG was lying about the amount of money the city of BR took from it?
Now that it looks like this will pass, they are whining that the money is going away.
The money was NEVER PART OF THE CITY. It was part of the parish that the city used to balance its budget. Which is exactly what SG said.

So Brooke's fam just wants to use BRMHS for high school but St George for K-8.
Lee high is a new magnet school. It is way closer to their home than BRHMS. Is it not a good school?
Also, the premise is bullshite anyway. Anybody that lives in EBR parish can apply to any of the magnet schools.

My bad. All of those irrelevant women's sports blend together. How much net revenue do they bring into the school?

Majority of minority residents inhabit north Baton Rouge, while many wealthy white residents live in the southern part of the city -- the St. George area. While supporters of this change are focused on race and money, residents are focused on education, including those living in the St. George area.
Then move South and attend the better schools...Can't afford it? Tough shite.

They could afford to move to Gardere. Except Gardere isn’t part of St George because of Together BR DQing a ton of signatures from renters there last time around.
