The most New Orleans thing ever

Power transformer blew last night in the French Quarter. While the Entergy repair crew was there a “local” showed up with a gun and started threatening them.

Wish we could bring organized crime back to NOLA like the old days. Would pay to see a couple of goons take this guy out right on the street. Or just hustle him away and Let someone discover his remains in Algiers a week later.

Your ancestors are buried above the ground.
Your last name isn't pronounced the way it's spelled.
Every once in a while, you have waterfront property.
You don't know the real names of your friends, only their nicknames. ( I for sure knew a guy only known as "N***** , another only known as "Cornbread" and two guys named "Easy Money .")
You don't learn until high school that Mardi Gras is not a national holiday.
You use a "#3" washtub to cover your lawn mower or your outboard motor.
You reinforce your attic to store Mardi Gras beads. .. (I have 100% done this .)
