LSU Transfer Portal

What happens if LSU drags its feet through the end of the year with hiring a President, AD and Coach?
Portal reopens first week of January. If the mood and culture here don't take a 180 by then you may see a lot of guys hit the exits.

I don't care for Landry because he's in bed with the slip and fall lawyers, but his involvement won't amount to much. Too many of you are too dramatic.
Assuming Landry's antics seriously impair LSU's athletic dept (which I believe it did) then this stain will be what most voters remember when it comes time for re-election.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a Latoya/SWB type from the Democrat side win Governor.....all thanks to Landry's buffoonery..

Agree in principal but the issue is most university presidents are libs and now you got Landry running around in complete clown mode will only make that process 10x more challenging.
Meanwhile the Gameday crew is dunking all over LSU and Landry on national TV
This gets worse before it gets better.

Accept this reality
He didn’t come after they fired Les. He didn’t come after they fired O. Now he’s a lot older and doesn’t need the money.
Meanwhile LSU can’t decide if it needs to hire a President, AD or Head Coach first.

Will also be interesting when LSU is playing in the R+L Carriers Bowl in the Superdome in Dec.
agree the theft going on in New Orleans is biblical in scale.
But the last few days Landry has proven that he's an incompetent fool. I wish he would just go hide like Latoya

Chief Kirkpatrick aka Chief Crazy Cat Lady earned some points with me today saying that if these clowns in City Council cut her budget (because they refuse to be held accountable by an oversight committee) she is gonna quit.
I hope she does. New Orleans needs to face some seriously hard lessons ASAP. Everyone on City Council should be run out of town. Moreno should be recalled on her 2nd day in office.
Total hard reset. Unplug the city. Count to 10 and then plug it back in.

Imagine the level of lawlessness the city is about to face soon. Going to be epic.

If 25% are going to leave NYC then how many will begrudgingly stay but don’t want Mamdani to win?
Another 25-30% ?
If so then the race should be closer to a coin flip not 90/10
Something seems fishy.

New Orleans is broke
Posted by RunninReb on 10/21/25 at 3:29 pm
Last week the morons running New Orleans thought they were gonna be staring at a $100,000,000 shortfall in 2026.
Now it’s $200,000,000.
I bet by Thanksgiving it will be $400,000,000
There simply is no fixing this city unless every politician is kicked out.
To anyone living in Orleans parish I hope you know where the landfill is because your trash ain’t getting picked up this Fall

It's part of their culture.
Just like maintaining property is part of our culture.
We should not be surprised when it occurs.

It says the law enforcement will not tolerate explicit music blaring at tailgates.
what about 90,000 grown people screaming SUCK THAT TIGER D*CK B*TCH in the stadium all night?

if you think BR/LSU can ignore this problem and assume it will stay contained to just the "North Gates" and Chimes area.....you are sorely mistaken my friend.
It also won't go away just because LSU doesn't have a home game...

"Go-To" area in Baton Rouge
Posted by RunninReb on 10/10/25 at 4:04 pm
I've lived in a handful of cities, and each one has a well known area with restaurants, bars and shopping whereby if someone tells me they're coming to town and asks where to go, I can simply give them a street or neighborhood and know they'll enjoy themselves.
What is that area for Baton Rouge? Do we even have one?
Government Street?
Downtown?
Overpass?
Perkins Rowe?
Towne Center?
I mean, is it really this bad in Baton Rouge there is nothing for visitors to do besides get harassed at an LSU tailgate?

Y’all know that New Orleans is on pace for a 50 year low for the murder count, right?
The random violence, particularly involving tourists, is a pretty big deal man
Easiest way to reduce the crime problem is to stop reporting the crime.
But when innocent tourists die it's impossible to sweep that under the rug.

Another day, another killing in the French Quarter at the hands of some young entrepreneur who's a good kid, just runs with the wrong crowd etc etc.
8pm on a Thursday.
I don't know if I'm willing to risk my life to visit New Orleans any more.

Probably doesn't help matters when the crown jewel city in your state is a completely bankrupt dilapidated war zone.

Louisiana takes the top spot
Posted by RunninReb on 10/3/25 at 10:59 am
US News & World Report ranks Louisiana as the worst state in the country to live in.
Obtaining an award like this takes decades and decades of neglect & mismanagement by leadership not to mention stunning levels of corruption.

Looking at the breakdown and it's not really even close how bad LA is compared to other places.

Just proves how completely out of touch she is. Who is listening to her? Thugs don't watch the news.
Anything short of mass incarceration (5% of the city population at least) will not fix the death spiral that city is currently on.
