Andrew is fine...but and "Drew" is not. They came so close to getting it right. Drew is a nickname...not a complete first name.

Actually spoke to a young woman named Charity recently. When was the last time you met a Faith, a Hope, or a Charity?

We give millennials a lot of grief but they have knocked certain things out of the park - this trend of classy old names being one of them.

Given the spelling conundrum of the black names, none of them will every make the list

Olivia has one spelling.

But Kyeishia or Quantarious could go any which way but loose.

Women are dumb. If left to my own devices, my children’s first names would have been:
1) Zackmorris
2) Slater
3) Jonranbo
4) Jesusfish

Boy or girl. Whatever.

I’m happy to see Evelyn making a comeback. That was my ma maw’s name and was my name if we ever had a girl. It’s just beautiful even when people pronounce it Eve-Lynn.

Eli is on the list and that's a black name. Other than the cotton gin guy, I don't think there's ever been a white person in America named Eli. That's why there's that infamous tendency for people to think that Eli Whitney was black- he's pretty much the only white Eli to ever exist, and people assume that anybody named Eli must be black. (Well, that, and with how history teachers always love talking about "black inventors", people probably come to believe that one of the few white inventors who gets discussed in history class was also black.)
