Go to church. Read your Bible. Join a gym. Be grateful you’re not homeless, starving, broke.

This is normal for anyone with morals, decency and common sense. This country is mentally ill.

I’m with you. I’m 36 going on 50 as far as yelling at clouds goes. I’m sick of the direction our country is headed. Thankfully, politics at that level haven’t really become an issue in my local community. I agree with the poster who said all we really have is neighbors, family, and friends. It’s a modern trend to suddenly give tons of shits about cities at the other ends of the country. As a Texan, I shouldn’t give a frick what Seattle and Portland and Minneapolis try to do.

Unfortunately, MSM injects politics into EVERYTHING. Social media users do the same. The hero-worship in the US is at a high, and it gives dipshits like Lebron, Meryl Streep, etc these platforms to project.

I’ve tried to unplug at times, and it helps. I’ve come to grips with just embracing my inner troll if I go to Twitter. I’m cautiously optimistic that the growing crime and shitty governing is being called out more and more, and will result in a shift to the other direction.

There is no such thing as a grouchy old person. The truth is once you get old, you stop being polite and start being honest.

You can be a certain age but don't have a be "old". You are as old as you allow yourself to be. we all have one life then we die. Why sit around and worry about shite you can't do anything about?

I've been hearing people say "things are getting worse".. it seems like since as far as I can remember. Life is one big balancing act. Things get bad, things get better. Sometimes its all perception. Worry about what you can control.

Honestly, probably find a way to be engaged with your local community in a positive way at least. Then go from there.

I basically have no friends. I get easily aggravated over nonsense. Laziness at work pisses me off. Administrators that have no idea what’s going on pisses me off. Overly happy people piss me off. I promise you I’m not this miserable to be around, I just don’t like stupidity.
