Manual can opener; what's your favorite? - ProudLSUMom
I was using a Farberware opener that cut the lids from the side, which I prefer. However, it only worked well for about a year. Any recommendations for a longer lasting opener that cuts from the side and not the top?...

re: Anyone here have to get an eye removed/ prosthetic eye? Update with pic page 3. NSAE. - ProudLSUMom
Many years ago my father-in-law had his right eye removed before radiation was done to skin cancer next to his eye. He was good to go before long and continued to drive and even pull a fifth wheel RV. Good luck to your wife. She will adapt, I'm sure....

re: Anyone ever been to Banff? - ProudLSUMom
We went in August 2011. One of the most beautiful places we've been. While Lake Louise is probably the most popular lake, I loved Moraine Lake much more. I don't have any help to offer on hiking because we didn't do any. ...

re: Can we discuss an Android competitor for iMessages? - ProudLSUMom
Yea, my wife uses WhatsApp to send pictures and videos of our kids. We have a couple of friends that already used it, so that's why we chose it. I tried to setup a shared Google photos album but didn't like it for some reason. Of course that was a couple of years ago so things might've change...

re: Can we discuss an Android competitor for iMessages? - ProudLSUMom
My wife and I have iPhones and use Google Photos to store all of our pics and videos to the same account. It's incredibly easy to setup and share a folder. You would have to be the laziest person on Earth or not give a shite to say it's too much trouble.
Well we are obviously not ...
Can she not send the pics and videos over Hangouts? I've never really used it, but I thought it would allow you to send high res between hangout users
I don't know. I'll find out. She did send a video on Facebook messenger and that worked out fine. Of course, that will only happen ...

re: Can we discuss an Android competitor for iMessages? - ProudLSUMom
I would narrow it down from Americans, to just American iPhone users. However, you have to ask yourself, if you have a service that works flawlessly with 90% of the people you text, are you going to concern yourself with using a different app for the other 10%?
My stepdaughter ha...

re: Any married couples here live off of only one spouse's earnings? - ProudLSUMom
We started out poor, so it wasn't much of an adjustment when we went down to one salary. I was a low wage earner. It was not easy in the early years but we learned to live below our means and have always done so. My husband retired at 59. I was a stay at home mom until the youngest was in colleg...

re: Po boy bread.....hinged or 2 separate pieces? - ProudLSUMom
for some reason with the "hinged" version i feel like i'm getting cheated when i bite into that side of the sandwich, it's mostly bread.
I agree with that but that's the way I felt last time with the unhinged bread and most of the shrimp falling off. I'm thinking the smooshing...
Fried seafood or hot sausage, I think you go split in two, but smooshed down with the palm of your hand, prior to eating.
Well, I guess I need to start smooshing....
