We'd be fools to underestimated just how much a secondary wave could hit. The 2nd wave of Spanish Flu killed more people than the first.

I'm not really worried about the secondary spikes the spring/summer because they will be less

I'm worried more about when it spikes again in the fall (and it will)

the fall spike will probably be a lot higher than any of the secondary spikes this spring/summer

It will certainly be flatter than it would've been had precautions not been taken, but the numbers are about to explode. My company (owns hospitals all over the country) has seen exponential growth in ER volumes, presumptive COVID cases, and positive COVID cases.

That has now slowed. Not even a little bit.

I am literally keeping our internal COVID count dashboard up on my monitor 24/7 to watch where we're being stretched thin. Has ventilator counts and everything.

If there is “light at the end of the tunnel” after 2-3 weeks (meaning we still aren’t back to normal business, and have some time to go) we are fricked. We need to be bringing productivity back in 2-3 weeks.

I understand and empathize with the healthcare aspect of this. My wife is an ICU nurse. But at some point you have to start thinking about the greater good. You know what else kills people? Poverty.
