Or middle class black kids. The middle class blacks all packed up and left in the 70’s and moved to Atlanta. They didn’t want to deal with the thugs either.

The blacks of NO and the regular whites from there or at least south Lousianians (I know I didn’t spell it correctly) and Mississippians for the most part get along. I’m sure they are tired of the hipsters though.

If I was what most people on this board seem to consider "middle class", there is no way that I would live in New Orleans. You won't be able to afford to live in one of the nicer (read safer) neighborhoods, and you won't be able to send your kids to private school. I'm referring to New Orleans proper, not Metairie.

It surely wasn’t the French influences, or the Spanish Influences...certainly wasn’t its historical value throughout US history.
No people go to New Orleans for Snoop Dog cathedral and Little Wayne square. Black people obviously built everything of worth in New Orleans, designed the architecture...what with us stupid old honkies still living in caves...
Gimme a fricking break. People like him can’t accept that blacks made contributions just like the rest, and that New Orleans is a patois of influences (and black influence isn’t even the majority historically speaking)
They have to make it all black and denigrate everything else, despite that the current iteration of black “culcha” is why New Orleans is a cesspool

I agree. Now black folks had a huge influence on the music culture in New Orleans.
