That is the same as 'gentrification"

White folks move out and black folks move in it is called diversity and celebrated, the evil white folks move back in and it is gentrification that needs to be stopped.

Nah, white folks moving out is called 'white flight'. Now they are moving out of one neighborhood when minorities move in just to move into a black neighborhood. Lol

Coping mechanism?
lol

Coping mechanism would be something like saying, “In other places they eat to live. But in New Orleans, we live to eat.”

No you don’t. Eating, drinking, and being fat are the only things you have to do when you aren’t being shot at or having your alignment repaired from hitting potholes.

Coping mechanism my arse, baw
Go tear down some more statues you little SJW

I don’t blame them. I hate what Austin has become. Many other large cities are following suit. Gentrification in NO would take a long time, but it would start pricing people out quickly.
good. New Orleans needed to be drug into the 21st century.

This is a tough one. Dealing with snowflake, hipsters whining about everything or dealing with carjacking thugs.

If you have no concept of history, or culture. New Orleans was a little over 25% black until the feds integrated public housing, much of this "history" is recent creations for the commercial purposes being attacked.

The taxes fund more corrupt, incompetent government and politicians. Perfect storm.

I think New Orleans is a great place to live if you are single, or married with no kids. Once kids come into the picture it becomes a little hairy, even if you can afford to live in the better neighborhoods and send your kids to private school.

"For these New Orleanians who’ve been here for generations, they fear newcomers and gentrification are erasing everything they know." “Ya’ll take pictures of us. Ya’ll put us on your commercials. You send us all over the world and we don’t get a dime!” one concerned resident said." "My understanding is right now our culture and the culture that we bring here in New Orleans is, we don't want it to be weakened or watered down. I have an understanding that there are other concerns that others are coming into the city and maybe trying to mimic the culture. I want our culture-bearers to know that what we have here is authentic and genuine and we're not going to allow that to happen,” Alexis said."

Are they aware the mayors there consider the city a sanctuary city and what that does to their "culture"? It will be Mexican culture in 10 years.

But yet they continue to vote those idiots into office.
