genuine question.

I was genuinely curious. It's a "gentrified" area mostly comprised of transplants. The transformation has been great for me. It's opened up a new corner of the city 8-10 years ago I wouldn't venture into. Now it has breweries, great restaurants (cheap/casual and more refined/pricier), outdoor wine spots, and crescent park.

How the hell are these two things related?

They are related because each group wants their traditions and history of their ancestors passed on to future generations. It's in plain text, take your biased blinders off.

How is having statues of piece of shite that conscripted children into war placed on public land a type of culture?

That's your perspective and apperently the only perspective that counts in your feeble world. Your perception only applies to you, and is only a reality for you. Each of us have our own perception and reality in which we live. Again, take your biased blinders off... You're not God, although you probably think you are.

My post has nothing to do with the Civil War. Merely a supporting post that reflects what many others have posted in this thread... that 99% of the locals had no issues with the statues being in place.

Working on your reading comprehension, or at least take the time to read the thread for context. Of course, that won't happen in this world of 8 second headlines for selected info and instant jabs. https://time.com/3858309/attention-spans-goldfish/

Post better.

You're not talking to me... I never posted anything along those lines.

I realize 10 pages is really rough for you to read, but you should try. You can do it... graduate from moron to imbecile. Then one day you might make it all the way up to idiot. Good luck buddy... we're pulling for ya!

the thing is, the three closest major cities to us, Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston, have all grown and left us behind. They have things that matter going on there
