Folks in the south, black and white were pretty poor in the 40's and 50's.

Possibly because of its portrayal in popular media, but looking at photos and art from the 1950s just feels like life on another planet moreso than the 40s or 60s.

Used to always talk to my elders who lived the the Post War era.
They all loved the 50s. Before the social upheaval of the 60s and 70s.
Hollywood makes the 50s look horrible, and revisionist historians and journalists do the same. Why? Because they hate what the 50s meant. They hate the white man. They hate the woman who isn’t whoring herself out on TikTok. They hate that they hadn’t cashed in on black anger yet.

perhaps educate yourself on what minorities, women, etc, had to go through, how they were NOT on equal footing as certain other people, and then come back and talk to me.... oh, and perhaps change the channel from Fox News from time to time... you senile old frick
