Bad things : Jim Crow laws, unemployment, Korean War deaths, recession
Good things - nuclear family, very little divorce, very little TV influence, corporations don't own everything, a higher regard for human life, people were more active in a daily basis-walking to school, mowing the lawn, mandatory PE classes, etc.

Having full freedom is never worse off, no matter if the end result is harsher

You sound exactly like a damn communist oddly enough

Ok comrade

It’s hilarious watching you of all people say this

“Let the mother government rule over you and restrictions on what you can and can’t do, but life will be easier comrade.”

perhaps educate yourself on what minorities, women, etc, had to go through, how they were NOT on equal footing as certain other people, and then come back and talk to me.... oh, and perhaps change the channel from Fox News from time to time... you senile old frick

After seeing the results of the country after having minorities and women in charge since then, was it really a bad thing?

Have things gotten better since we let women out of the house and stopped opposing communism?

Well everyone now does have equal chance to be something. And that’s a good thing.

Would be nice if people would go be something instead of still pretending they’re being held back.

For all those who’ve had success there are 5 more mired in poverty. Broken homes, single mothers, missing fathers in jail, drugs. Twelve percent of the population commits half the murders and armed robberies. You call that better off? I stand by my comment.

not for lack of opportunity or assistance, many make that choice but still maintain that their plight is someone else's fault
