Hows this: they look like commies, socialists, and liberal idiots all rolled into one. They are in charge of our govt and it sucks to see America dropping off.

Was he a huge star in 50s, or did that really occur in the 60s Name something he was in during the 50s.

Take some time to read up on the trials and tribulations of SDJ if you think “oh he was a huge star” kept him from being treated differently/poorly.
Very obvious that a bunch of a white middle class boomers are in this thread, not surprising because of what website it is, and that’s ok.
But to called a cuck and say you’re virtue signaling because you point out that it was not in fact the best decade for minorities is ridiculous.

Excellent thread. For anyone who disagrees with the OP, I offer a simple challenge: Go watch Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo", and then watch "Taxi Driver". The former shows San Francisco in 1958, the latter NYC in 1976. In less than 20 years, major cities went from being nice clean places to uninhabitable cesspools. Which city would you rather live in? What changed?
For one, a creeping wave of degeneracy that really began with "birth control" in the early '60s and reached its zenith with Roe in '73. Griswold v. Connecticut was an insane decision that had no basis in law. These succeeded in wiping out the family structure for many. It is no accident that the last year for the baby boom was 1964.
Another major problem was (and still is) the move away from silver coins in 1965. Compare the value of the minimum wage in 1964 to the value of it today. Moving entirely to fiat currency unleashed ridiculous inflation that shows no signs of letting up.
The immigration act of 1965 didn't do us any favors either. Now, corporations can bring in workers to undercut organized labor and depress wages.
LBJ's great society was an obvious disaster.
In sum, the '60s were the gift that keeps on giving.

This board is great. yes today the race card is out of control, but y’all trying to act like the shite against minorities didn’t exist in the 50s is just as braindead as playing the race card tkday
You don’t need to feel guilty for it, I certainty don’t, but denying it existed is so damn soft and dumb

Why would women complain, most could stay at home and husband material wasn't degraded. I doubt women are happier with their jobs and cats today.
frick communist why would the USA be concerned with their happiness since they had their own workers paradise.
Minorities are a wash, I doubt Black society is better since they were able to destroy public education and urban areas and attain amazing crime rates. The ego push from leaders like LaToya have their consequences.
