Everywhere. I basically made my wife retire early because of the behavior of the students and their parents. Wasn't worth the hassle.
Parents used to support teachers, but not so much today. Little Johnny can do no wrong.

Everyone in this thread knows EXACTLY what the issue and problem is but the answer will get you banned.
If all you're saying is "it's black kids" then it doesn't lead to any useful solutions. Can't do anything about demographics.
Okay great, now that we know that black kids generally behave worse than white kids, how can we actually address the problem of black misbehavior?

It’s the Wal-Mart service desk on steroids.

Parental support is slim and yes, suspensions and expulsions are turned away because it affects school report cards. Sad state we are in.

How much should a 9th grade English teacher make though? My sister in law is such and she makes around 60k a year with dirt cheap insurance (around 50 a month for family) and gets 4 months off a year. When you put numbers to it, they make close to 6 digits if they were to work 12 months a year like the rest of us.

But, a lot of kids' acting up in school traces back to what goes on outside of school.
Karen thinks Brayden and Jackson are perfect little angels and NO ONE better correct them but HER

Let kids get paddled or some other punishment and some of this nonsense stops. We as a society have gotten soft.

Unless she’s been teaching for like 40 years and/or teaches on a high cost of living area like California, then your SIL is full of shite. Not many teachers short of those 2 criteria are pulling down 60k

A st Tammany high school math teacher told me she made about 60k
ETA - younger than 30, masters degree

Accounting for a MA, ol girl would have to be teaching for 26 years to hit 60k in St. Tammany. Ok girl that told you this is full of shite.

It’s what happens when kids have never been punched in the mouth for saying things they shouldn’t or acting up. We are living with a generation of people 20 and under who have never been punished and won’t understand how to act until they get their arse whipped one day.

If dad would give junior the back of his hand across juniors fricking mouth, a lot of problems would go away.

Saban's success is inversely proportional to teacher's happiness. Hmm
