It’s for my wife, not me, unfortunately. Maybe I can switch em out when she’s out of town.

Some are more reliable than others, but for my money….no way in hell for any Chrysler/Jeep product. For leasing only. But how about you do your own research. Start with Consumer reports.

I have a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee 80th Anniversary and it’s been a great car.

Before that I had a 2008 Cherokee Laredo and it was also a great car.

Have a Grand Cherokee L - I really like it, but as others have said the computer system has some major flaws. If the software craps out, then windows, ac, radio, power mirrors, etc will not work. So much so that if you turn it on and it has a problem the power mirrors will not unfold - seems pretty dangerous to me. Had it in the dealership for warranty and they kept it for a week to go through the problems. The had 3 in the shop with that problem. They came to the conclusion it was a software update problem - updated the software and no issues since. It’s something to be wary about, and I would buy a Honda or Toyota to not deal with that problem.

The new body style is extremely comfortable and drives great. No issues, but it’s only been a year/15k miles.

We had one of the GC Laredo Editions if I remember correctly what it was. One of the more expensive ones at the time.

Beautiful vehicle inside and out ... for a few months. Then it literally started falling apart, inside and out.

Great stero system though .... wanna say it was a Bose.

Less than a year old and we gave it to our Son, the baby, who was in college at the time. He blew it up that next summer trying to tow one of my boats to a marina on the other end of the lake rather than just motor boating there .... he said it was a status symbol thing. He's had his mother's brains back then. He's grown up since.

Jeeps are junk imho.

I’ve never owned one and the only thing I know is from people who owned them. From what I heard I wouldn’t get one, mostly based on what they said about the PCM failure.

Unfortunately they put too much unnecessary crap on all vehicles nowadays.

I have a 2018 Grand Cherokee Summit 4X4, 71 K miles, other than routine maintenance, no issues whatsoever. My next vehicle will be another Grand Cherokee.

Not sure about the newer models but 6 years ago I drove a rental in Phoenix and hated the blind spots in the back.

In fairness that tends to be a weakness for most of the current CUVs/SUVs. I grew up with SUVs that had huge greenhouses, small A/B/C pillars, and large rear windows, those are rare if not nearly extinct today. It is a reason blind spot detection is actually quite useful on them.

Ive had exclusively Grand Cherokees as personal vehicles since 2009…. In that time I’ve had many other vehicles as company cars so haven’t been as rough, or put as many miles, on the GCs as most people would.. Still, they have been relatively trouble free even though, in full disclosure, im pretty religious about keeping the oil changed on schedule or earlier than required, as well as other needed maintenance .. But yeah the GCs have been great , at least up until the 115 k or 120k mi mark when I’ve generally traded them in/upgraded to a newer one .

Do your homework, owner satisfaction and reliability are both big knocks on them. The power equipment, in car electronics and suspension have been the major problems.

If you are wanting a vehicle known for reliability, then stay away from all Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep products.
