Tegnell,the country’s chief epidemiologist:
"The truth is that we have a policy similar to that of other countries . . . Like everyone, we are trying to slow down the rate of infection in order to avoid a situation in which too many patients will have recourse to the medical system at the same point of time. The differences derive from a different tradition and from a different culture that prevail in Sweden. We prefer voluntary measures, and there is a high level of trust here between the population and the authorities, so we are able to avoid coercive restrictions.”
Not sure you can compare Sweden to the USA at all.
In talking to some friends who live in Stockholm, they are probably "socially distancing" better than we are here in most areas just with government "suggestions".

Let’s hear those underlying conditions

Did universities and schools stay open?

Stop comparing drastically different cultures and scales

False unless your definition of fortnight is "6 days or less".
15 last Saturday. Seems to be an oddity in their Saturday reporting.
Deaths per million population:
Sweden - 89
Denmark - 47
Norway - 23
They don't seem to be doing all that well.

The main thing Sweden has going for it is their less than 1% poverty rate. They, for the most part, are an educated compliant population. They’re also relatively healthy overall.
The U.S., on the other hand, has like a 12% poverty rate which equates to a whooooole lotta stupid. I doubt Sweden has a large portion of its citizens walking around with masks not covering their nose or that think the masks have magical powers so they can walk as close as they want to anyone. The traffic on the streets has gotten progressively worse over the last few weeks. We just aren’t a compliant country.

I believe all the universities and secondary (high schools) are closed but they have kept Primary (elementary) schools open since keeping businesses open demands that.

Incorrect. They still have freedom of movement.

Yeah because they fricking listen. They’re practicing social distancing. They’re not throwing they’re on St Paddy’s day parades and going on spring break.
It’s a cultural difference.

I have a theory as to why but I'm not getting banned for saying it.

I guess y’all just avoided the giant Rape Cities that those pussies handed over and allowed the Muslim “refugees” to build? Probably smart
