This is also a nation who had very little violent crime or any crime for that matter until they imported the savages from the Middle East. Good people with respect for others. Imagine that.

It's ok to learn from mistakes sometimes. Just because it happened once doesnt mean we should be perfectly content with allowing it to happen again.

Aaand as if on cue: Sweden reported a new high in daily deaths today of 170—per capita that would be over 5400 deaths/day in USA, twice the US figure.
It's also worth comparing Sweden's so-far overall death toll of 1,203 people from Covid-19 as of Wednesday, a rate of 101 per million inhabitants, to nearby countries: 51 per million in Denmark and just 11 per million in Finland, both of which imposed strict early lockdowns to curb the virus’s spread
Will the be fine? Yes. Did other countries overreact? Probably. But this narrative that they're doing well needs to die.

Maybe not, but there was a huge economic impact. We went into recession and the Dow fell 15%. That probably is better than what we are seeing now, however; but we don’t know yet.

Who said they are doing well and who didn't expect this? Literally no one knows how this works out for them right now. It was expected that anyone that didn't shut down would have peaks of deaths for awhile. The real question is how long it lasts.
To work out in Sweden's favor they would have a week or two of a ton of deaths and then a steep drop off after that. All the while everyone else plateaus but stays on that plateau awhile.
