There are at least 3 I think that are around 99% for accuracy and specificity to covid-19. Not sure about other states, but Texas has 2 of those tests basically just growing on trees at Remedy/quest diagnostics.

From what I understand, they are 99% accurate in detecting positive covid antibodies. The problem is they can't differentiate between covid-19 and other strains from what I understand so we are getting a lot of false positives.

I'm no expert though, so things could have changed.

If this is true than Fauci and Birx should be burned at the stake in Lafayette Square by the end of the year.

If I haven't been infected already, I would. I know at least 4 people my age that had to be tested for one reason or another (elective surgery, been in another country, etc) were tested and were positive. They would have never known otherwise.

Based on the measurement of a total of 5272 samples, the Elecsys® Anti-SARS-CoV-2 assay has 99.81% specificity and shows no cross-reactivity to the four human coronaviruses causing common cold. This means it can lower the chance of false positives due to the detection of similar antibodies that may be present in an individual, but are specific for coronaviruses other than SARS-CoV-2.

Yes. Please. I want to have it now and not later.

I remember chicken pox parties, but that’s a disease that could actually kill people.

What did you think?

If your hypothetical assumed that everyone would be infected, and then 3 weeks from now, everything opens up entirely and COVID goes away, i'd do that in a heartbeat.

I hope its true, but it is in stark contrast of the MLB anti-body study released in May.

I fully believe that we will all touch this before any reliable tested vaccine is mass produced. So yeah, I believe that sooner or later I will get it. It isn't just going to go away.

I'm all for keeping shite open and hiding the highly vulnerable, but your points are pretty disingenuous.

quote:

All antibody studies are showing 12-20% rate of antibodies. Which equates to 40-60 million cases.

Most people getting antibody screened had an illness they suspect was COVID or was in close proximity with someone who had COVID. That isn't a random sampling. It is not that high unfortunately.

quote:

And it's getting weaker. Even as more people have it, fewer are dying.

It isn't getting weaker, the people that are most vulnerable to dying (old people) are still isolating themselves in a major way. Nursing homes are like Fort Knox and they were, up until a couple weeks ago, the source of 40% of the deaths in America.

The average age of positive tests is rapidly going down as young people are out and about with each other and spreading it. So obviously the CFR will go down.

Again, I'm all for re-opening and isolating vulnerable, but no need to lie about what this thing is. We'll be fine.
