Yeah, I'd be feeling the same way. I'd at least want to get it out ASAP.

Good luck to you.

That's the one at formerly-known-as Lee Circle. But the statue is gone and street signs removed. How could this happen?

Clearly the looters are white supremacists angry about the statue removal.

Not good in all likelihood. Taking on sustained winds of 70+ and gusts of 100mph likely did extensive damage

Surprisingly from most of the people I’ve talked to their houses and businesses did fairly well. Many have some roof damage but nothing catastrophic more superficial. The energy and water crisis is the much bigger deal at the moment from those I have heard from.

Anybody know if all of LaPlace is flooded? Have some friends south of 61 not far from river.

I don’t really know the area very well, but the closer to the river, the better. It’s higher ground.

New Orleans is going to be crippled for a month because of essentially Cat 1-2 hurricane conditions. Heard from family in Lakeview some trees down, shingles off, general low end hurricane stuff. Doesnt look too bad.

So how the frick does the entire power, water and sewer system go kaput with relatively mild storm conditions?

I believe some roads are closed in Mobile as well due to flooding.

I'd give it a few hours and see how roads are looking.

Don’t worry. Cassidy was touting his infrastructure bill.

For those needing repairs and need help from contractors. There are many reputable ones out there who will do you a good job.
However, the area will be flooded with those that are there do nothing more than to steal your money and disappear forever.
Check out each one, check their credentials, demand written contracts and never give them full payment before they start.

Garden Park neighbors say all is good in the neighborhood. Minor roof damage, limbs down etc, but nothing major.

I think its just all related to this tower that fell. If it wasnt for that it might have been ok.

Hmm I think they were more like Cat 3/4 conditions.

People that think New Orleans learned some kind of lesson from Katrina are fools.

Reporters are conditioned to ask “do you wish you got the vaccine?” On people’s death bed. This is just an extension of that
