LSU continued to build momentum on the recruiting trail with the commitment of five-star edge rusher Chris Whitehead, one of the top defensive prospects in the 2027 class.
The Chesterfield, Virginia native chose the Tigers over Ohio State and Virginia Tech after a strong push from the LSU coaching staff, giving the program another elite pass-rushing talent to add to its future defensive front.
Whitehead is regarded as one of the nation’s premier edge defenders and held offers from many of college football’s top programs.
Whitehead's verbal pledge gives LSU 13 commitments for the class of 2027.
