Looks like the Lee Circle Circle K. That's the homeless/underpass druggies convenience store.

Have any of the others that did not evacuate check in yet?
They all did last night. All safe. Haven’t heard from them this morning but they have ATT.

Now comes the second phase of the aftermath which is as bad as the anxiety of the storm itself.
Neighbor called me. Have some bad damage to the back of my house, roof damage, and the power pole fell. So I’m very glad I left

My house is between Hwy 11 bridge and the twin spans on the canal side of Lakeview Dr. Water came over Lakeview Dr into Eden Isles canals but only in spots. Similar to Zeta maybe a little more.
Thanks, sounds like everyone in that area should be good from the flooding side, will just depend on wind damage.

Not today to be honest

Weather channel was just airing a recording from a lady in LaPlace who was trapped in her attic. Dickhead asked her how she felt about not evacuating.
Posted on 8/30/21 at 8:46 am to CorkSoaker
yeah i filled up just in case before the storm so i have a full tank sitting there (unless it got syphoned)

I think we could see something similar to Katrina. Ida evacuees to BR etc. Houston get ready
Friends in Gretna are looking for a condo to rent in BR for a while. Here we come!

Sounds like it. The whole area remains under a flash flood emergency. Between surge type flooding and extremely high rain totals, I would imagine the flooding there is very bad.

On this note, there are still office buildings in LC that only have AC b/c a huge truck outside is running 24/7
I wonder what JP/OP are going to face
And to piggyback on that...
Whats going to exacerbate things are the massive global supply chain issues everyone is facing. If it was hard to get parts last year, then it's even harder to get parts now.
And then finding people to install/replace those parts is a whole other story.

Were you the poster wondering about their vehicle parked in the Rouse's parking lot near UNO?
If so, did you ever get any sort of damage report?

You evacuated 3 weeks for Katrina?
We were renting a townhouse and we came back to clean out the refrigerator earlier ( 2 weeks) and we then came back a week later when the power came back on. I got transferred shortly after that to Spring, Texas. I was in charge of one of the Desire housing project redo. I loaded up 6 - 5 gallons gas cans to make the trip back down from NE La. I ended up leaving 4 full cans with my neighbors down there to use to cut up their trees that were on their house. We lived in Metairie close to Airline. The national guard moved into the school about two blocks away.
