Wasn’t this the strength that they have been predicting since yesterday?

At 10:00 am this morning the prediction was that the storm would be 115mph at 10;00 pm. They were wrong it was 105.

They probably weren't wrong with the 10pm forecast.

It’s going to be a shitshow tomorrow morning when people wake up and see what’s coming and try to leave, with no contra flow.

If your thinking about leaving I’d just leave now. My worry is people get stuck on the roads in this.

It hasn’t hit yet. Whether they predicted it not, doesn’t make it any better for the folks that are going to suffer.

Yeah this storm is showing out right now. She is over the warmest water. Like pouring fuel Into a fire. Every metric is bombing out. If she isn’t a 4 now it will be close to it.

If you waited to evacuate tomorrow and were remotely close to the path I don't know what to tell those people. C'mon.

It isn't just that it is over the warmest water. It is over the warmest water at the absolute most perfect time, as well.

Too many went to bed after the news believing it’s a cat 2 and they may wake up and be very surprised.
It’s no time to write this off.

I fear I t’ll be too late in the morning. Tropical Storm force winds predicted to already be moving past nola by 8 am. Sudden morning gridlock tomorrow spells a horrific scene for people caught on the interstate during a powerful Hurricane.

Anyone else encouraged that it hasn't strengthened? It was supposed to be a 4 by now and it's still a 2.

At 10:00 am this morning the prediction was that the storm would be 115mph at 10;00 pm. They were wrong it was 105.

At midnite it appears it is 115 mph or stronger. They weren’t that far off. Two hours,

It’s a dangerous situation. Too many went to bed after the news believing it’s a cat 2 and they may wake up and be very surprised.

They were only wrong because the recon plane broke down and they had to estimate the winds so the left them the same until they could get a plane in there. Which they are doing right now

We dont do category by pressure, but by max sustained winds.

I was just doing the math.. but you are right. But I also believe she is close to a 4 right now.. if she hasn’t already made it, she will soon. I’m just hoping she stops there, but i’m getting a weird Irma vibe here. Thankfully she doesn’t have a lot of time left.

I hope she falls apart.. but she is absolutely bombing as we speak.

dude. you're a good man for staying with elderly family. no doubt. but there may be a time in the next few hours where you should ask mee-maw if she's comfortable putting your life at risk. this keeps getting worse and worse for y'all and shows no sign of slowing. maybe guilting them with your own safety can get them to consider their own. you still have some time to gtfo. hope my LC borderline PTSD is showing and I'm being paranoid. but good luck, one way or the other.

The eye is definitely tracking south or west of the forecast track now. Been like that for a few frames so I’m wondering if it’s going to be a trend or not. I think even if it started going in the original direction again, it’ll end up a few miles west which would mean more for Baton Rouge
probably stair stepping

Yeah...

But, they didn't have recon plane data. Now they do.

I hear you man we are getting hit way too much lately and it's just not bearable at this point. It's like each hurricane that hits is picking and choosing to punch everyone in the region it can on the mouth intentionally.

You got missed good. Take it on the chin with the next one. That's pretty much what it feels like.
