Could CFB push up against that and threaten to go with Amazon? Sure, but they also have NFL on Thursday’s.

That is issue #1. Issue #2 is the bowl games and New Years Day. This year, it was on a Thursday.

If you play on the 13th, 20th, 27th and the Championship is Jan 3rd, what happens to the parades and what games are played on NYD?

I think the whole schedule is trying to work around all of those factors above..

I’d prefer to have 16 teams on Saturday’s until it is over.

eta: if you eliminated conference championship games, you could go the 6th, 13th, 20th and 1st.

Oregon

Ole Miss
Ohio State

Who else has a legit argument?

That tells me that the 12 team playoff is working because the best teams are still standing, or played this weekend.

Snyder is actually a really good comp, not only because both are great coaches, but the path was similar as well.

Snyder filled his roster with a lot of older JUCO guys.. and Cignetti fills his roster with older 2-3 star guys.

Both also had good QB play, which is the great equalizer in football from pee-wee football to the NFL.

But it really isn’t NIL related at all.. I think they have 7 four stars on the whole roster.. 0 five stars..

What they apparently do have is someone or some people who have an incredible eye for underrated talent that will fit like a glove.

Clearly they also have some really good coaches, starting at the top.

Perhaps it is all Cignetti.. either way it’s impressive and it will be studied.
