Gov. Edwards said this will be the strongest storm to hit Louisiana since the 1850s. Is he full of shite?
He said "one of the strongest" I believe.

Don’t know if this has been posted but 90 west before Morgan city has only one lane open. Family made it through to destination but most of 2 hour delay was to get past that.

WIth the east wobbles this morning and some of the models shifting a bit east it looks like this damn thing will come right over my house in Cut Off. Some of the new landfall predictions have it coming in around Fourchon/Grand Isle. I am thinking it will come in on the eastern side of Terrebonne Parish which would put me either in the eye or in the Northeast Eyewall.
I am staying mainly because I am physically really not up to much traveling and I built my house with strong hurricanes in mind.
My house is on pilings and my first floor is 14 ft. 4 inches above sea level even though I am inside the SL levee. Unless the levee fails flooding shouldn't be an issue. I also have the entire house double sheeted with 5/8 plywood, aluminum shutters, and a whole home backup generator along with 2 portable 6500-watt generators just in case. I am as ready as one can be for such a strong storm.

According to a few that know what they’re talking about on stormcast, looks like we’ll have an east shift at the 4pm update.

if we were to take a consensus track between the latest 12z GFS and Euro, a track just west of Houma is what comes out of it, about 15-20 miles east of the official track forecast.

HRRR hi resolution model continues to be east of all of them. Ida also remains east of the track. The circle was 11:30am

Does this chameleon EVER tell the truth, or do the right thing... No. He is a literal Communist masquerading as an honorable veteran. He and Latoya are destroying this State... The damage from the hurricane is nothing compared to those two.

Looks like the eye on the IR loop just collapsed along with shear on the SW side.
Maybe I’m wrong but it doesn’t look too healthy to me
