I see your location says Gonzales. I'm guessing you got the hell out of there based on the track?

I haven't changed my location in like a decade.

I'm currently in Twin Lakes, CO at 9600' of elevation. So just gonna stay here.

There's way more than 9 hours until landfall

Then why don’t you go re-read my full response, and try to figure it out.

I'd highly recommend going north if you're considering evacuating at this point.

Blows my mind that people don’t do it.

We have family in Katy, but otherwise I would have stayed north on 49. About 29 in 30 cars were getting on I-10 at the 49/10 interchange.

Pretty good agreement now between the GFS, Canadian and ICON models on a track across far eastern Terrebone Parish

Not looking good for Houma. Does that mean over Livingston or more East as it moves inland?

Check out that traffic. Essentially stopped from BR to Orange, and from NOLA to Mobile.

I'd highly recommend going north if you're considering evacuating at this point.

Wow. And I’m in Nola for the storm, drove southbound on causeway a few hours ago and it was eerie as hell. Passed maybe 15 cars going southbound, the entire northbound causeway was bumper to bumper from northshore to mile marker 10 and was continuing to build up with more cars coming

The system should swing a bit to the left this eve as it gets closer to a ridge over NC, but I think it's time to seriously consider eyewall impacts in #NOLA. LINK

They're gonna call for a mandatory evac of Nola 6 hours before landfall

Same here. When we left LC for Delta, it was taking friends of 4-5 hours to get to Beaumont. We went to Shreveport and drove straight there with no traffic.

I know flying is more expensive; but it is surprising more people don't take that option.

Left Da Parish at 3 am. Arrived in Katy at 11. Included a 30 min stop on BR to check on family and two stops to let the dogs out to pee. Traffic was steady but really only bumper to bumper near accidents.
