It's a paid service, Storm Geo

It was miserably hot after Katrina.

Sorry, probably dumb question, but what do the lines mean? Is the higher dotted line the prediction or is the solid blue line the prediction for the area?
My phone is hard to read.

I'm going to take a guess that that is from a paid service.
Wish there was a way to access that kind of stuff without having to pay someone.

Having to go 10 days without power after Katrina ended up being a fun time. Yeah it was fricking hot but it wasn't all that bad.
We were without power for 9 days after Laura and 5 days after the ice storm. Laura was a pain in the arse. The ice storm was an ordeal.

Left Metairie at 5:00 to Houston. Just getting to Basin and stopped. Responders just flew by on shoulder.
I10 west looks fricked all the way through Lafayette. If you can get to the Butte La Rose rest stop, take the gravel road north to 190 and you should have an easier time.

I'm assuming the lower band are constant winds and the max sustained is if a squall hits for a specified period of time. And of course gusts are gusts

If you are going up 49, you may need to cross state line into Texas on 20. All the Laffy people that are freaking will clog up 49 and all hotels. I'd say Carthage, Texas or Tyler/Athens Texas is a good bet. I would not wait till Sunday. I spent 12 hours getting Mom out of Louisiana during Gustav at the last minute. Twelve hours from Lafayette to Shreveport.

Yep. I remember sleeping on the bare tile in our house because it was the only thing even slightly cool.

190 at Opelpusas is going to be a clusterfrick if this happens. It's one lane off and on from east of Port Barre all the way to Opelousas.
ETA: what I mean is if many people start taking 190, it's going to back up very quickly.
