Hey guys, I have to go to Port Fouchon to do some hurricane related work.

Where is the closest place that has electricity and/or gas?

Or do I need to pack my tent?

I was down in Fourchon yesterday. Your best bet for fuel and electricity is in Boutte. Everywhere South of that either has no power or lines for gas are over a mile long all day.

It looks like a bomb went off from Golden Meadow to the coast. Feel bad for those folks. Pack your tent.

I’m beginning to think there’s no way Entergy hits their goal of all/most of New Orleans and north JP back by EOD tomorrow.

A lot of nursing homes are strictly for profit, at the end of the day the higher ups simply don’t care as much. I’m not saying every home is that way but lots are. Nonprofit homes, in my experience are usually ran better overall.

Nursing homes are a racket. In most states you can use SS and Medicare for in home care instead of being caged up in a nursing home. But not in Louisiana. Our good ole legislature cares too much for the lobbyist money to worry about what's best for the people of Louisiana.

We have successfully retrieved both surge probes and the results are phenomenal, here is a taste of the footage capture by Probe 1 on the levee south of Golden Meadow. Stay tuned for the full documentary this weekend.... #Ida

Since I guess the tobacco handjob window has closed for this thread, I'm going to post this:

This entergy map is so frustrating. It says I have power but I don’t.

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but my mom (no pics) is having trouble with the FEMA $500. Has anyone been initially denied but several days later approved?

TIA

ETA: Anyone else live in Airline Park? Seems like maybe some parts of the neighborhood have power but I can't get a definitive answer.

First part, I think that’s what’s happening with most people. Denied then approved. She’s in JP, so she should get it. If she puts in her checking info, I bet it will be direct deposited in a couple of days.
