Crime has plummeted, the schools are all A+ rated, and taxes dropped through the floor.

The armies of st George have begun assembling. We’ll be slowly conquering the desirable parts of the city and razing the shitholes to make way for new development.

Marching all the way to LSU.

If they get started at dawn, then it should be done by brunch.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. But St. George was.

Neighborhoods in st George that borders EBR and seemed out help in annexing back into EBR. I predict when all said st George is only 1/4 the size it was at time of the vote. People didn’t vote but they want nothing to do with st George so they are looking for permanent options instead of worrying about having to vote every other year

I don't know a single person that has buyer's remorse for voting for St George. The people that are against it now were against it before.

St. George Vote Revives Chatter

NAACP wants to separate city government from the parish.

quote:

Chatter is intensifying again about the idea of possible deconsolidation, which some black leaders have said needs to be explored because the interests of Baton Rouge’s residents aren’t adequately represented on the 12-member Metro Council, which is majority white and Republican.

Broome still looking for angle for litigation.

quote:

Broome made it clear, though that she's not prepared to fully explore the idea of deconsolidation just yet. She said she’s more focused on exploring the legal options the city-parish has in trying to block St. George from happening.

But the NAACP pays St. George organizers and supporters a complement.

quote:

Eugene Collins, president of the local chapter of the NAACP. "St. George serves as a good lesson that when enough people get together and want things to change, it changes."

I predict the opposite. People will be trying to get out of BR as the incompetence grows and into SG if it proves itself worthy

Mr. Collins understands. Good for him.

I'd offer up my neighborhood to St George.
